ACTUAL TEXT ON BACK OF CARD:
South Carolina native Cotton Owens earned the title "King of the Modifieds" in the 1950s, winning nine of his 161 races in the early days of NASCAR, culminating in a runner-up finish to the national championship in 1959 to Lee Petty. Owens became a full-time car owner in 1963, although he entered three races as a driver in 1963-64 and won one of them.
Shown on the reverse is one of cottons two victories which came at the old 1/2 mile dirt at the Spartanburg Fairgrounds. The car is a 1960 Pontiac Catalina, powered by a 333 hp 389 V-8.
